FROM FIREFIGHTER TO FINANCIAL THERAPIST TO FOUNDER OF HEALTHY LOVE AND MONEY
Hi, I'm Ed. I’m a firefighter turned financial advisor turned marriage and family financial therapist and I know a lot about walking into high-intensity situations, navigating “the flames,” and walking everyone out safely. With both formal education and personal experience in resolving conflicts, managing finances, developing emotional intimacy, and understanding family systems, I’m an informed and empathetic guide. My goal is to help couples uncover and understand the roots underlying their financial conflicts.
MY COURSES HELP HEAL YOUR MARRIAGE & YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MONEY
I have over 20 years of experience working with people and money and 7 of them as a marriage therapist. Through my work with individuals, couples, and families, I’ve observed a wide range of money-related stressors and provided useful tools to help resolve challenges around finances at home.
I’m a thought-leader in the industry, having helped to develop a specific type of therapy known as Financial Therapy. And in a previous part of life, received my Certified Financial Planner™ certification.
I’m also married with children. I know how complicated finances can become when you’re growing a family and building a life with someone. I’m not absolved from marital money problems just because I’m a therapist. I’ve had to walk my own journey alongside my spouse to understand our financial histories and their impact on our marriage.
I’ve combined my education with my work experience and my lens as a family man (husband, father) to develop accessible courses that couples can do together.
YOUR HEALING STARTS HERE
If you’re ready to leave the feelings of stress, distance, dissatisfaction, frustration behind, and instead feel connected, loved, and trusted….
If you’re ready to stop with the silent treatment and avoidance and instead communicate and meet financial challenges head-on…
If you’re ready to not just look like you have it all, but feel like you have it all…
Then it’s time to heal the relationship with your partner around your finances.
“You brought up SO many things I never would have thought of. Financial infidelity, family secrets, and wealth transfers were something I never thought of as part of my money history. The last lesson really brings everything together on how this family tree exercise can have an impact on how I actually live in my day-to-day life.”
